Do You Remember Rock and Roll? Well, do you? Do you really remember? Do you remember Buddy Holley? Elvis’s first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show? The Beatles and the British Invasion? The Who, the Stones, Led Zeppelin, Queen, and so many more? Do you really remember? Are you even old enough to remember? Whether you have to wish you could have been around back then or you long for the days when Rock & Roll was King and the bands that created it were royalty – the music is back.

Edison Project’s freshman offering, Do You Remember Rock & Roll? brings the listener back to music’s roots. Layered harmonies, rich melodies, catchy lyrics and a passion for playing give Edison Project a unique sound that creates instant fans. Upon hearing Edison Project for the first time listeners immediately recognize something they didn’t even realize they were missing. Their cohesive sound, impressive lyrics and live energy are what caught the eye of the producer who molded Do You Remember Rock & Roll?

Produced by Don Dixon (R.E.M.’s Murmur and Reckoning, the Smithereens and Guadalcanal Diary) and tracked on two-inch tape, Do You Remember Rock & Roll? truly gets back to the heart of rock music. Credited with taking jangle-pop to the next level in the early 80’s, Dixon is ready to help bring back vintage rock & roll. According to Dixon, working with Edison Project proved to be an even better treat than he originally expected, “They’re all such great musicians, and they want to build, grow and create. They’re just the kind of band every producer wants to work with, wants to help shape.”

The love flows both ways between Edison and Dixon. The band clicked with their producer immediately and the foursome has formed a unique bond with Dixon who will be collaborating with Edison Project on the 2007 edition of Augusta’s 12 Bands of Christmas CD.

A of all things music related permeate through everything Edison Project does. True music lovers, Edison Project are fans to the core and believe that’s one of the reasons that other music lovers will be drawn to their sound. “We play because we love the music and we want other people to love it as much as we do,” agree all members of the foursome.
