Meet The Band
Edison Project
The four-piece rock band Edison Project includes Dave Firmin (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Rino Mendoza (back-up vocals, lead guitar) and brothers Micah Swenson (back-up vocals, bass) and Zach Swenson (back-up vocals, drums).
After launching onto the Augusta music scene in 2005 Edison Project was immediately voted Best Rock Band in Augusta. They released their first EP, October Chapters that same year and quickly gained even more notoriety by landing a gig at the annual Rock Fore! Dough concert in Augusta, Georgia during Masters Week opening for Hootie & the Blowfish and Collective Soul.
Edison Project promptly repeated their win as Augusta’s Best Rock Band of 2006 and also won Lokal Loudness awards for Favorite Lead Singer and Favorite Band in 2007. From there, they have taken their high-energy live show on the road touring through cities across the Southeast playing at bars, small venues, coffee houses, festivals and a host of baseball stadiums including Turner Field in Atlanta.
While each individual Edison member has their own unique style, and strong personality, they compliment one another so well that the combined sound cannot be denied. Furthermore, the Edison Project foursome shares writing duties and collaborates on nearly every song they perform. Their cohesive sound, impressive lyrics and live energy are what caught the eye of Don Dixon who produced Do You Remember Rock & Roll?
